Hopefully Some Good News..............

Just to inform you all that we will be making an important and (hopefully) positive message within the next couple weeks..... We appreciate everyone's patience. The racecar has gotten some attention in the past couple weeks. Frame stripping, ( nobody really knows just how cruddy that job is...LOL.), sealing off of the back dash area, exhaust removal, new front bumper, undercarriage bracket/membrane removal, and undercarriage pressure clean. The car sounds kick ass without the exhaust. All of this was done at practically no expense, but sore muscles and the occasional hangover . Also, the class that we had hoped to run this year and hopefully next year at "the Rock", down here in Cumberland, MD has been very competitive this year. Even with the economy in deep question, fans and race cars have actually increased in attendance this year. So, stay tuned. Stay positive with us so a dream can come true in 2010.

PS: Even though "Midlife Crisis" doesn't look a whole helluva lot different from last year, a new homepage is in the work. Stay tuned.

Preview Of 2009

Even though we will not be racing in 2009, we are looking forward to the racing season. A 6 month layoff from work killed all hopes of racing this year. With that being said, we look forward to working on the car as finances allow throughout the year in hopes of racing in 2010.

My First Blog

First off, I'd like to welcome you all to our humble little website and enjoy.

When we, (meaning the wife and yours truly), started this site, the intent was not to just focus on me, the racer, but, also the history and the people in that history of what will become Rick Fox Racing, and hopefully beyond. As the months go along, we hope to add to the site as much as possible, the Fox racing history page, the Fox racing photo history page, and especially a photographic timeline of a 1979 Chevy Impala once driven by a nice little old lady, to a racecar competing for a Factory Stock championship at The Rock-Allegany County Speedway in 2009. Next season, as the season rolls along, we hope to inform-you-the racing fan, a look into our little world of ups and downs of a spawning race team.

I dedicate this site to Mom and Dad.

Scientifically, I believe there is a racing gene. It gets passed on every once and a while, and some of us are thankful of this scientific wonder. Someday, I look forward to running my first lap at Hesston Speedway, as my Dad did, some 40 odd years ago.

Once my Dad's stock car days were over, my furthest memories are of Mom taking my brother and me to Hesston, and watching the Naves, Wrights, Burketts, Chamberlains of the day, battling it out for the checkered flag. It was those hot summer night's of 1971-72, that this was what I (someday) wanted to do. Yes, Mom. You have something to do with this......
